Zindus is a Thunderbird Add-on which synchronises your Thunderbird Address Book with contacts in your Gmail/ GApps Account and is very handy for regular users of both.
Whilst IMAP support has allowed Thunderbird (or indeed any other email program) to be in sync with emails thus far, users have still needed to regularly import and export their Gmail/GApps contacts in order to use them in a desktop client. Well, as far as Thunderbird is concerned, this gap seems to have been filled, and Zindus provides a simple and easy way to manage the process.
Google Apps might be a long way off the kind of functionality its aged competitor Microsoft Exchange has to offer, but its ease of use, price and ever increasing functionality might encourage business users to wonder why they didn’t convert before.
